Submission Conditions
Please find below the main elements of abstract submission guidelines. Full submission guidelines will be available during the submission process however the main submission guidelines are noted below.
 
Please note that by submitting an abstract for an oral communication or a poster presentation, the author automatically agrees to the submission guidelines indicated on the submission website; these include the following:

 

  • Presentations will need to be submitted under two versions:
  • Version 1: containing Authors, affiliation, and all information;
    Version 2: anonymised (no name, no affiliation)
  • Abstract, paper, poster and presentation should not contain commercial name => THEY WILL BE DISCARDED IMMEDIATELY  
  • Paper, Abstract, poster and presentation should use the template available here.
  • All papers must be submitted electronically by this website. Emailed papers will not be accepted.
  • Ensure that all authors who contributed to the work are included and that the authors’ names and author order are complete and correct. You must identify a presenting author (option available on submission form).
  • Authors registered may present up to 3 posters or 2 posters & 1 podium.
  • The author automatically gives the right to the Congress organising Committee to save their full paper in the proceedings of the congress and make it available on the website or the app to the Congress Attendees. After one year, the papers will be uploaded to the IFSCC Archives, and so becomes available to all IFSCC members. This publication in the proceedings does not create anteriority for further scientific publication in another peer review.
  • Registration to attend the congress is mandatory.
  • Please ensure that your work has not be previously published and the author declares the novelty of the study.
  • Any work that is related to animal testing will be disqualified.
  • Any mentioning of commercial names is prohibited.
  • The authors awarded one of the 3 IFSCC awards  (Best Basic research Podium, Applied research podium or best Poster) are required to publish their full paper in the IFSCC Magazine. 
  • Abstracts should not be submitted to this conference if you do not agree with the specific terms and conditions outlined above and within the submission process.
  • The time allotted to each author for the presentation of his/her podium is 20 minutes in total, no extension will be granted. We recommend that speakers allow 15 minutes for presentation, and 5 minutes for questions, as this is an important point in the awards jury's evaluation.
 
During the abstract submission, you will be asked to select the type of research, the relevant topic as well as the type of presentation that you like to choose:
  • Type of Research:  Basic Research or Applied Research 
  • Topic Selection: Analytical Technologies, Bio-Sourcing / Natural Extracts, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Delivery Systems, Exposome and Stress, Formulation, Fragrance, Hair Studies, Health, Human & Environmental Safety, Makeup, Melanogenesis / Pigmentation, Microbiome, Neuroscience / Cognitive / Sensory, Personalisation / Beauty Technology, Photoprotection, Plant Extracts, Skin Studies, Sustainability, Well aging / longevity  
  • Type of Presentation: Oral Communication (Podium), Poster Presentation (Paper)
  • Abstract structure / word count: The abstract may not exceed a total of 300 words (Title, authors and affiliations excluded).
  • Full Paper: the full paper should respect the guidance available in the template
